Police Detention Center is located at the northeast corner of 10th Street and Western Avenue on a 3.69 acre site. Site is located in Old Town Avondale near the Marie Lopez Rogers Complex – Resource Center. This project consist of 17,658 s.f., police facility which includes a 8,528-square-foot Police Detention Center, Sally Port, Intake and 9,130-square-foot police office. Site improvements include a public entry, public parking, secure staff parking, an emergency back-up generator, and a drive-thru sally port.

The contemporary southwest aesthetic chosen for this station is cohesive with multiple municipal projects in the surrounding neighborhood. This facility will be constructed of high quality, durable materials and building systems to minimize operational, repair and replacement costs and will have an anticipated lifecycle of at least fifty years.
